Day 13: Ages to Burgos

Miles Day/Total/To Go: 14.0/190.9/327.3
Weather: Sunny & Hot

Got a nice early start today, not alone, with Bob fron Charlotte, Linda from TX and Jane from Vermont.  We helped each other get in thevright path and then as thevsun came up we spread out, each according to our own gait and pace. As is my fashion once it was light I generally seperated myself for a long stretch of meditative and prayer filled walking.

Todays topic of forgiveness finally came. I found myself fixated on the phrase in the Lord's Prayer " forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who tresspass against us" thinking of those people that I just really haveca hard time letting go of the anger and forgiving.  The thought occured to me that I hsve been guilty of the many of the things that upset me in my actions with others. Then I found myself in circular paradoxes of "well maybe it just seeing me in them thst makes this difficult" or basking in self loathing in seeing the hypocrisy in my intransigence.  The conclusion that I reached was thst I need to getbto the other side of the bridge withba few folks and I will get there with professional helpI if needed.

The walk in was longer than I anticipated, the high of 91 msde it tough.A 250 meter rise in rocky terrain and then an equal descent took its toll in the heat.  I tokk the slightly longer shady route along the Rio Arianzon through the citypark with shade and was glad thst I did. Itvws a pleasant walk andvwhen I stopped  to eat the banana, peach and chocolate snack that I'd purchased in Ages a couple of German Pilgrims passed by and I shsred my Ritter Sport Bar with hazelnuts snd go to practice some German.

Got Into town feeling drained check into my Hotel and took a bath which felt marvelous. Wandered a bit to get my bearings and ate dinner with Jim from Michigan, Al grom Manitoba and Bob from Charlotte. Ism staying an extra rest day here in the beautiful city and look forward to touring th Cathedral and its other great sites a bit.
